Nelson Community Health Talk
We had an incredible evening on Tuesday 5th November at The Suter Theatre for the Nelson Community Health Talk by Mackenzie Cancer Research Group. It was wonderful to see over 80 engaged attendees, with more than 70 joining us via Zoom as well.
Our speakers, Dr. George Wiggins, Professor Gabi Dachs, and Associate Professor Margaret Currie, shared fascinating insights on key topics, which led to an active question time afterwards:
• Preventative therapies for breast and ovarian cancer
• Vitamin C in Cancer progression / therapy
• Can we prescribe exercise to improve cancer treatment?
We’re especially grateful to The Care Foundation for supporting the event; and to Angela and Kirsten from the University of Otago Nelson team for their seamless coordination and collaboration to make this happen. Thank you to everyone who joined us to make this a memorable night of learning and community!
Supported by The Care Foundation (Nelson) and Cancer Society Nelson Tasman (Motueka event).
