Thank you to our incredible volunteers for Daffodil Day 2024
A message from our Volunteer and Events Coordinator, Victoria Sharp
To all our amazing volunteers – Our whole team would like to take the opportunity to say a huge heartfelt thank you to those that supported us through Daffodil Day 2024.
Daffodil Day is a huge undertaking, but we are thankful to have such a wonderful team of volunteers behind us that it always comes together beautifully on the day.
Although Friday did not dawn brightly the sun finally arrived and there were some lovely sights to see. For the area coordinators, thank you for representing your regions so well and shining a light on your communities.
To the industrial collectors, thank you for donning the raincoats and still having big smiles.
To those on the stalls, your dedication does not go unnoticed by the public and I hope you felt that. For the creatives, you made our stalls stand out with all the beautiful daffodil inspired creations and of course the now infamous Worry Worms which totalled close to 1000 made by the time Daffodil Day arrived!
And let’s not forget all the work that went on before last Friday, picking, bunching, delivering donation boxes and flowers and getting everything prepared for the big day, it is immense but made all the much easier by every one of you.
We never have enough adjectives to describe how valued you all are to our small team. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did, and we would love to see you back again in 2025. If you are new to Daffodil Day and feel like joining in the fun, we would love to hear from you.
With warmest regards, Vick, Michelle, Barb, Cyndy, Maureen and Tāwhaki
