Yesterday, the rain may have come and gone, but it didn’t dampen the spirit of our incredible Nelson Tasman community. Everywhere you looked, there was generosity, kindness, and a whole lot of yellow.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our amazing volunteers, who braved the weather, brought their smiles, and made sure Daffodil Day happened across the region. We couldn’t do this without you.

We’re also deeply grateful to the many schools, ECEs, businesses, and individuals who signed up to fundraise. Seeing the creativity and effort poured into events and activities throughout the region was truly humbling.

And to everyone who donated, wore a daffodil pin, bought a bunch of blooms or daffodil-inspired goodies, or simply stopped by a stall – thank you. Every daffodil, every dollar, and every act of kindness makes a real difference for people facing cancer here in Nelson Tasman.

To those going through a cancer journey, we hope you felt the aroha and support wrapped around you yesterday. This day is for you.

It’s not too late to make a difference – donations are still being accepted at daffodilday.org.nz. Together, rain or shine, our community keeps the spirit of hope alive.

You can see a full photo album of the day on Facebook here.
