Owner Debbie Cooper-Norriss says her reason for supporting the Cancer Society is deeply rooted in community:
When people ask why I support and sponsor the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman, my answer is simple: it takes a village.
For 60 years, this organisation has walked alongside local people facing cancer, offering practical help, emotional support, and hope when it is needed most. From its early volunteer-led beginnings to the vital services it provides today, the Cancer Society has always been about our community looking after its own.
I choose to sponsor the Cancer Society because I believe none of us should face cancer alone. My support is just one small part of a much bigger effort that includes survivors, caregivers, volunteers, donors, and businesses. Together, we are the village that helps make sure support is there for anyone in Nelson Tasman who needs it.
