Bastian goes the distance – 500km and $970 Raised!

Throughout the month of March, Bastian set himself a serious challenge: to run, walk, or cycle a total of 500km, all in support of Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and cancer research.

Inspired by friends and whānau affected by cancer, Bastian wanted to do something meaningful to give back. His words say it best:

“As many people in the community and around the world, I know of friends and family who have passed away or are being affected by cancer. As a way to raise a bit of awareness and support, I thought I would challenge myself fitness-wise and do something tough but achievable with some discipline and motivation.”

And challenge himself he did! Rain or shine, Bastian kept moving throughout March, tracking his progress, and encouraging donations through his Givealittle page.

Thanks to his dedication and the generosity of his supporters, $970 was raised to support cancer research and the work of Cancer Society Nelson Tasman. These funds help provide care and support for local families going through cancer and contribute to life-saving research efforts.

We are so grateful to Bastian for his determination, energy, and generosity. Ngā mihi nui, Bastian, you’ve made a real difference.
