Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in New Zealand. A generous bequest from Mr David Blunt has made it possible for the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman to offer skin check vouchers to the value of $100 (inc. GST) towards the cost of a skin check to Nelson Tasman region residents annually.
Please contact your local GP/Skin Specialist if you believe you are high risk or if you have the following:
- A mole, freckle or spot that has changed in size, thickness, shape, colour or has started to bleed.
- Lots of moles
- A family history of melanoma
- History of sunburn throughout life, especially during childhood
- Skin that burns easily
- Spend a lot of time working or playing outdoors
