Over the weekend of 24–25 May, four incredible locals took to the skies for Jump for Cancer, raising vital funds to support people facing cancer here in Nelson Tasman.
On Saturday 24 May, long-time volunteers Becs Armstrong and Jan Holt suited up under perfect blue skies and took the leap. Between them, they raised a fantastic $5,556 – with Jan topping the national fundraising leaderboard for quite some time before being overtaken by our very own Summerset in the Sun residents, who are scheduled to jump on 31 July (weather permitting).

On Sunday 25 May, Kayden (12) and Cory Trusler (10) showed courage well beyond their years as they skydived in memory of their much-loved Nans. Their heartfelt tribute touched many, raising over $4,400 to support local whānau living with cancer. Read their full story in Nelson Weekly.
