Meet our new staff member Maureen Urwin

Tēnā koutou, my name is Maureen Urwin, and I am thrilled to be joining the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman team as a Support Coordinator based at the new Motueka centre. I will be providing supportive care services to the Tasman region.

For the past 3 years, I have served as the Community Connector in Motueka, a role that has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the privilege of getting to know our community and offering support to some of our most vulnerable and at-risk individuals.

I am honoured and enthusiastic about my new role with the Cancer Society, and I’m especially excited to be based in my own community of Motueka. Our office is conveniently located, and I will be actively engaged in the community for 30 hours per week.
