Sunday 2nd August was a big day for Steve, Rian, Katrin and Cindy, who took the leap with Skydive Abel Tasman at Motueka Aerodrome to raise funds for Cancer Society Nelson Tasman.

Steve and Rian were jumping as part of Jan’s Jolly Jumpers, with Katrin and Cindy joining them for the day.

The weather played its part, with clear winter skies and some pretty amazing views across the top of the South. There were plenty of laughs too, although we imagine there may have been a few nerves before that plane door opened!

A special mention to Cindy, who raised an incredible $2,826, thanks to the amazing support of the residents at Summerset Richmond Ranges. What a fantastic effort.

Jan’s Jolly Jumpers are also doing incredibly well, currently sitting at the top of the national fundraising leaderboard, with more than $10,260 raised by the team.

A huge thank you to all four for taking on the challenge and raising funds to support local people and whānau impacted by cancer.

We’re pretty sure the views were worth the jump!
