A huge thank you to the Department of Conservation Social Club for choosing the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman as one of the beneficiaries of their Kings and Queens Charity Ball 2025.
The night raised an incredible $3,260, with $2,260 coming our way and $1,000 going to Rangers for Rangers, a DOC Motueka initiative that supports rangers who find themselves in tough situations.
And what a night it was. The costumes were something else – we’re talking Queen Bees, King Penguins, Cleopatra, King Kong, Princess Fiona, Strava’s Queen of the Mountains, and more royals than you could count. There was music, dancing, laughter, and some very competitive raffle and auction action that helped boost the total.
We’re so grateful to the DOC Social Club, their “Royal Organising Committee,” and everyone who gave their time and energy to make it such a success. Your generosity means we can keep supporting people in our community who are affected with cancer.
